What is a good Royal TSX alternative for Linux servers?
If most of your estate is Linux boxes reached over SSH, the connection is the easy part. ServerShelf handles the part after the login: which packages wait for an update, which service is down, when the certificate on the domain expires, what the journal says about last night's restart. It imports servers from twelve cloud providers, keeps an inventory with projects, tags, software and license keys, runs HTTP and TCP checks, and includes a PTY terminal with snippets and an SSH-key deployment helper. Data sits in a SQLCipher-encrypted database with Touch ID unlock; sync goes through an encrypted file in your own iCloud Drive, S3 bucket or WebDAV share.
Royal TSX stays the better pick for mixed estates: Windows servers over RDP, appliances over VNC, web consoles, and shared documents for a team. ServerShelf does none of those.

Keep Royal TSX or switch?
Keep Royal TSX if you need RDP, VNC or web consoles, a secure gateway, or shared documents for a team. For Windows-heavy estates it is the right tool and ServerShelf is not a replacement.
