A Termius alternative that knows more than your hosts file
Termius opens sessions. ServerShelf keeps the inventory, watches the servers and opens the session when you need it.
Termius is a very good SSH client on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. The free Starter plan gives you a local vault, SSH, SFTP and port forwarding. Cloud sync, snippets and session logs are part of the Pro subscription, and the vault then lives in the vendor's cloud.
ServerShelf starts from the fleet, not the session: it imports servers from twelve cloud providers, scans them over SSH, tracks pending updates, certificates and uptime, and includes a PTY terminal with snippets. One purchase, no account, encrypted database on your own disk.

What is a good Termius alternative without a subscription?
ServerShelf is a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux that manages Linux, macOS and Windows targets over plain SSH. It costs €39 once and needs no account. Where Termius stores hosts and keys, ServerShelf stores the whole picture: which project a server belongs to, what runs on it, which packages wait for an update, when the certificate expires and whether the HTTP check is green. The terminal is built in, with a snippet library and an SSH-key deployment helper. Sync between your own machines goes through an encrypted file in your iCloud Drive, S3 bucket or WebDAV share instead of a vendor cloud.
Termius stays the better pick if you want the same client on your phone and tablet for daily terminal work, or if a team needs shared vaults with roles. Its SFTP browser and port-forwarding UI are also more polished than anything ServerShelf offers.

Keep Termius or switch?
Keep Termius if your day is mostly terminal sessions on several devices, you rely on its SFTP browser and port forwarding, or your team needs shared vaults with granular access. Nothing in ServerShelf replaces a mobile terminal client.
Use ServerShelf if you would rather look at the fleet than at a prompt: which servers exist, what runs where, what needs patching, which certificate expires next week. The terminal is there when you need it, and the inventory does not depend on a subscription staying active. Plenty of people keep Termius on the phone and ServerShelf on the desk.
